In recent years the club has lost three stalwarts who gave many years of outstanding service to the club. To commemorate the passing of Barry Rooth, Pat Gill and Eric Gill the “Absent Friends” trophy is presented annually to the Best in Show at the Championship Show and also to the winner of the Two Day Qualifying Field Trial. It is in the form of a glass Labrador mounted on a plinth which the recipient is allowed to keep. Here the two judges present this year’s Championship Show trophy to Chris Bailiss
